
A two vehicle crash Tuesday morning at Pim and Wellington Street left an elderly driver trapped inside his vehicle.
Witnesses to the crash at around 9am helped stabilize the vehicle until paramedics were able to remove the man from inside the vehicle.
The black SUV and red pic-up truck sustained major damage. Sault Ste. Marie city police arrived to investigate and to keep traffic flowing, though motorists were backed up several blocks during the morning rush.
The man complained of chest pains, he was tended to in the ambulance. No injuries were reported.
The collision scene was cleared by about 11am.
