With reports of heavy snow in Northwestern Ontario last week, it was only a matter of time before Sault Ste. Marie would see its first snow of the season.
And that's this morning. The weather forecast called for rain starting this morning, but I guess Mother Nature had another plan.
Now, it is supposed to get a little warmer today so this snow will change to rain and 2 to 4cm is expected to accumulate by the time it turns to rain.
The most amount of snow to fall on the Sault on this date was 0.4cm in 1988.
A balmy 23c was the record temperature on this date back was just last year!!
