On October 7, 2012 in the early hours Wawa officers with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to a domestic disturbance that had taken place on Joliet St, Wawa. A 20-year-old male was arrested for assault and is scheduled to appear in Wawa Criminal Court on December 10, 2012. OPP do not release the names of accused in domestic matters to protect the identity of the victims.
Later that same day the OPP were advised that the youth accused had breached his release conditions. He was arrested in White River, Ontario and was charged with 2 counts of breach of undertaking. These charges have been added to the December 10 appearance.
