To celebrate the Grand Opening of the new Korah Branch Library on 556 Goulais Avenue, the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library is holding a week of events. Our celebration events will start after the Grand Opening on Thursday October 11th and end on Wednesday October 17th with our Customer Appreciation Day. All movie events will take place in the Essar Community Room.Friday October 12th from 2:00 – 4:30 pm Classic Movie Event - My Man Godfrey
Saturday October 13th from 1:00 – 3:30 pm Movie Event -The Hunger Games
Monday October 15th The Kick Off of our Grand Opening Month Membership Drive. Come to your local library to get a new library card or renew your current membership to enter your name in for the draw.
Tuesday October 16th Tours of the library including sessions in the Essar Community Room of how to use the library catalogue and other new library technology including the Smart Board and Smart Table.
In addition to these free events we will also be handing out commemorative water bottles each day of the week to patrons every hour the library is open to the public.
