A collision involving a school bus closed Highway 17 east near Blind River Wednesday morning. OPP say several students were taken to an Elliot Lake hospital as a result of the crash causing major damage to both vehicles.
West bound traffic is now open though Police remain at the scene to direct traffic and conduct an investigation.
Police tell LOCAL2.ca that Highway 17 near Park Road west of Blind River is slow moving with alternate traffic
All the students were from the Elliot Lake area.
The school bus driver and transport driver were not hurt.
