The Soo Algoma Industrial Greyhounds travelled to Sudbury over the weekend to play a trio of regular season games with the Nickel City Sons.Saturday afternoon, the local minor bantam AAA squad dropped a close 2-1 decision to the Sons. Darrel Baker scored the lone goal for the Sault, while Tyler Fahrer picked up the assist. Matthew Reid picked up the loss for the Soo.
The second game of the day was not as even as the Algoma Industrial Greyhounds surrendered eight goals in an 8-1 loss. Daniel Mills scored for the locals, while Justin Ryyppo and Baker each chipped in with an assist. Garrett Boyonoski took the loss in net.
On Sunday the Junior Hounds skated to a 1-1 tie. Gage Stephney scored the goal, while Zachary Taylor and Skylar Premo-Miceli each had an assist. Reid was credited with the tie.
Next action for the Algoma Industrial Greyhounds is next weekend when they travel to Hamilton to take part in the Tim Horton’s Invitational Tournament.
