On the 28th of September members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Street Team conducted a traffic stop on Second Line West after observing a vehicle being driven erratically.
Upon speaking to the driver, officers noticed a strong odor of cannabis marihuana coming from the vehicle. Upon further investigation a search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of marihuana, oxycodone and cocaine as well as other drug paraphernalia.
The estimated street value of the drugs is $1590.00. Terrance Mingo 34 years of age of 60 Curran Dr. was charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act as well as breach of probation. He is scheduled to appear in court on November 5 2012.
Liquor and Pot
On the 28th of September patrol officers observed a vehicle that failed to stop at the intersection of Letcher St. and Wallace Terr. A traffic stop was conducted and upon talking to the driver a partial bottle of liquor was observed under the front seat. Upon further investigation a search of the vehicle was conducted and a small amount of marihuana was located as well as drug paraphernalia. A 17 year old male was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking under Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He was given a court date of October 30.
