On September 21, 2012 at approximately 4:30 pm, members of the West Parry Sound detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of found human skeletal remains in a remote location off Highway 522, Blair Township. The ground search of the crime scene has been completed.
The identity of the deceased person is not yet known. A post mortem examination of the remains continues at the Centre of Forensic Sciences, Toronto.
The West Parry Sound OPP Crime Unit, under the direction of the Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), is continuing its investigation.
