Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services remain at the scene of an early morning house fire on Churchill Boulevard Sunday.
City Police have not released any information about the blaze. The investigation is still on-going
The home however sustained extensive damage.
A neighbour told LOCAL2.ca at the scene that the single owner had lived there for over 50 years. A retired school teacher. He escaped the blaze unharmed.
There is a possibility of "suspicious persons" seen at the time of the fire, though that information has not been confirmed.
