On August 24 2012 City Police along with the local SPCA executed a search warrant at 534 Case Rd.
Several animals were found in various states of pain, distress and suffering as a result of improper care. 48 year old Rebecca Hurley was charged with causing/permitting unnecessary suffering of animals.
She is scheduled to appear in court on October 15 2012.
According to City Police Saturday morning, a variety of animals were found in neglect suffering from malnutrition and improper care.
Several of the animals were found injured.
5 dogs were removed from the property and one had to be euthanized due to the extent of malnutrition
Several cats were also removed along with three horses. 30 horses remain at the ranch.
Police discovered a very untidy area to house the animals - and several animals were left without shelter.
Local2.ca reported on the Circle H Ranch two years ago stemming from allegations of abuse and malnutrition surrounding a one year old horse by the name of Oliver. In photos submitted to local2 - it clearly showed the horse in a state of malnutrition.
At the time, owner Rebbecca Hurley told Local2.ca the allegations were false and refused local2 cameras on her property.
Circle H Ranch houses several horses for people and also offer winter sleigh rides during the Bon Soo Winter Carnival.

This photo obtained by Local2.ca shows Oliver a year later. The owner of the horse at the time tried to rescue Oliver but was asked by the authorities to return the horse to the ranch. The status of Olive is not known.
