Ontario Tourism Marketing Partnership, in partnership with Algoma Country and Tourism Sault Ste Marie, is pleased to host the crew of the Discovery Channel’s TV show - World RiderZ on its motorcycle voyage through Algoma Country. The crew will be at Parks Canada’s Sault Ste. Marie Canal National Historic Site on Friday August 17 at 2:00PM.The WorldRiderZ journey was established to raise awareness and prevention for Chronic Kidney Disease and organ transplant through the staging of motorbike trips around the world. The initial 25,000km journey in 2011, from Sydney to Paris, created a hit TV series, which aired on the Discovery Channel.
Now in its second season, the show brings the team to North America, where three segments of the eight-part series will be based on travels in Canada. To showcase premier tourism destinations in our region, the crew will be taking in the sights at Parks Canada’s Sault Ste. Marie Canal National Historic Site. Media is invited to the Sault Canal on Friday at 2:00PM to meet the World RiderZ team.
This is a unique opportunity and offers our motorcycle touring tourism product to be showcased on an international stage.
