As the pennies roll in, we need people to roll them up. We have a dedicated crew who have put in many hours in the last few months, but they could use some help so they don’t need to come in as often. Today, we had a group of twelve people who rolled 20,000 pennies in just over an hour, bringing our grand total to 1,161,150.
We usually have our rolling sessions in the mornings because that is when most of our volunteers can come in. We can organize sessions in the afternoons if we have enough people to come in. We also frequently have a rolling session on Saturday mornings.
There is always room at the table for more penny rollers. If you have an hour to spare, please call Habitat for Humanity Sault Ste. Marie at 705-942-7443 and leave your name and number.
