26 year old Jean-Claude Paquette was arrested by Police this afternoon outside his residence in the east end of the City. Mr. Paquette was requested to leave the residence by other family members due to his excessive drinking and escalating violent behaviour. He refused to do so, and as a result the Police were called. Another request was made by the officers on scene for him to leave at which point Mr. Paquette became assaultive towards the officers and had to be pepper sprayed to be brought under control.
He has been charged with Assault Police and Resist Arrest and is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court on September 10th.
