On the 4th of August 2012 at approximately 10:00 p.m. officers received information regarding a stolen vehicle from Port Perry, Ontario being in Sault Ste. Marie. The stolen vehicle was recovered at 619 Bay Street. Investigation revealed that Darin Layden, age 44, of no fixed address was in possession of the vehicle. In addition Layden was found to be wanted on several outstanding warrants.
He is facing charges of failing to appear for prints - 2 counts, possession of stolen property, break and enter, theft (shoplifting) - 2 counts, and failing to re-attend court. He will be attending WASH (Weekend and Statutory Holiday) Court via video on 05 Aug 2012.
