Algoma Public Health has removed the swimming advisory for:• Harmony Beach located on Harmony Beach Road
• Havilland Beach located on Havilland Shores Drive
• Lower Island Lake located on Highway 556
• Pointe Des Chenes beach, located on Pointe Des Chenes Drive, Sault Ste. Marie
Test results of water samples collected on July 30th, 2012 met the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care guidelines for safe swimming.
Before swimming, take into consideration the past day’s weather and the current conditions of the beach. The public is encouraged to visit the Beach Warnings section on Algoma Public Health’s website to view an interactive map of the beaches sampled and any current warnings or postings.
