
The Black Sox opened the tournament with a 12-3 win over St. John’s (Mich.). Connor Henderson had three singles while Beau Nolan had a single and a double in the win. Brandon Dewar chipped in with a pair of singles. Jamis McMaster pitched five innings, giving up four hits and a walk while striking out five.
The locals dropped their second round robin game, 10-2 against Grand Ledge. Dewar had a pair of singles while Henderson, Nolan and Ronnie Sayers had a single each.
Against Lansing in game three, the Black Sox dropped a 16-2 decision. Henderson, Nolan, Jarrod Sachro and Liam Riley had a single each in the loss. The Black Sox wrapped up the round robin with a 6-5 loss to Battle Creek in extra innings. Nolan, Dewar, Sayers, Sachro, Zach Duchesne and Evan Lavallee had singles in the round robin finale. Next action for the Elks 341 Bantam Black Sox is Tuesday when they head across to Soo Michigan to play the 16U Travelers. This weekend the Sox take part in the Midland Michigan Tournament.
