I would to say thank you to Local2, in particular to Mr. Mike Caruso for your excellent coverage of our event, Ride for Sight. We were able to raise almost $20,000 for the Foundation Fighting Blindness. All the money raised will go directly to fund research in finding a cure for degenerative eye diseases. These diseases strike the nation’s two most vulnerable populations, children and seniors. It is estimated that vision loss affects over 1 million Canadians.
I would also like to send out a huge thank you to all the volunteers, planning committee members, the incredible bands and local businesses that donated their time and money to this cause. It was a huge success and we are already excited about next years event. Thank you so very much.
