Earlier this morning the Ontario Hockey League released the 2012-13 schedule of for all member teams.The Soo Greyhounds will open the new season of "NO SURRENDER" at home against back-to-back West Division opponents. On Friday, September 21st the Hounds host the Plymouth Whalers while on Saturday, September 22nd, the Windsor Spitfires skate into the Essar Centre.
Both games, all Soo Greyhounds home games are slated for 7:07 p.m. starts this season (New Year's Eve exception).
The locals first roadtrip of the year will see them head into Sarnia and Saginaw respectively on September 28th and 29th.
Some notes of interest;
* The Hounds will host a rare Wednesday/Thursday home schedule on October 17 (Sudbury) and October 18 (Belleville)
* For the first time in years, the Hounds will finish their pre-Christmas schedule at home. The final game before the holidays is Sunday, December 16 vs Windsor
* Monday, December 31st the Hounds will host a "New Year's Eve" contest vs Saginaw Spirit. Game time is 4 p.m.
* Regular season concludes on Sunday, March 17th when the defending OHL Champion London Knights make their final regular season visit to the Soo.
* The Hounds home schedule consists of 1 Monday, 9 Wednesdays, 1 Thursday, 8 Fridays, 9 Saturdays and 6 Sundays.
