Soo North Stars Defensemen, Nicholas Trecroce to Play in Hockey Night in Canada's Play On! Sudbury Celebrity Game
CBC Hockey Night in Canada’s to Play On! Sudbury to host Sudbury Wolves 2012 draft pick, Nicholas Trecroce in celebrity game on June 30th
Now entering its inaugural year on the streets of Sudbury, Hockey Night in Canada’s Play On! has secured four 2012 Sudbury Wolves draft picks to participate in a Celebrity Game. Late last week, Soo North Stars defenseman, Nick Trecroce, Copper Cliff Redmen goaltender, Mike Muzyka, and Sudbury Nickel Capitals forwards, Connor Burgess and Dylan Callaghan, committed to play. The game is scheduled to take place at 12:00 pm on Saturday, June 30th.
The four players have also registered a team in the 17 and Under “Enforcers” division. The teens, along with three friends, will compete under team name the “Gino’s”. Spectators are welcome to attend the event, which has no admittance fee.

The event visits Northern Ontario for the first time in downtown Sudbury on Canada Day long weekend, June 30 - July 1, 2012. The tournament is expected to attract over 100 teams, 700 participants, and 12,000 spectators to the downtown’s Market Square. A large percentage of teams and players are expected to be from outside the Great Sudbury region.
Sudburians are encouraged to register today to play, volunteer or officiate! The deadline to register is 11:59pm on June 27th, 2012. Registration details are available at www.playon.ca/events/Sudbury. The event is intended to be family friendly and activities will be taking place all weekend long.
