After the first day of curling in the NOSSA championship, two teams remain undefeated.
In the girls division, the team from St. Benedicts in Sudbury is 3-0 after defeating teams from WC Eaket, Korah, and Lo-Ellen Park. The Sudbury team which consist of Chloe Gordon, Cassandra Rees, Carolyne Graham and Sabrina Frappier is now guaranteed a berth in the finals.
In the boys division, the Widdifield team from North Bay is 3-0 after defeating teams from Superior Heights, Espanola, and St. Joseph Scollard Hall. The North Bay team with Jeremy Bin, Jared Burke, Joshua MacDonald and Caleb Mady are also guaranteed a berth in the finals.
The local girls team from Korah with Laura Masters, Kylee Garson, Julie Cullen and Riley Millar and the local boys team from White Pines with Scott Morphet, Leah Hodgson, Kyle Stoneman and Brendan Acorn remain in the hunt in the championship division at 2-1 each.
Meanwhile, both the girls and boys teams from Superior Heights are 1-2 and have dropped to the consolation round.
Play continues Wednesday at Soo Curlers with games at 8:30 and 12:00.
The top team in each division will advance to the OFSAA Curling Championship to be held in the Niagara area March 21-24.
