Work crews from TC Contracting are on site preparing the building for demolition, which, if all the necessary permits come through, will be happening two or three weeks from now.

LOCAL2 spoke with Ivan Champaign from TC, who confirmed his company has the demolition contract and that his crews are on site removing some equipment.
Ivan also said the building may contain some asbestos, which would need to be removed before the demolition begins.
Demolition of the sprawling building, parts of it being older than the city itself, will take 5 or 6 weeks.
