Playing in the U13 division the Fury won their opening game 2-0 against La Forza. Goal
scorers were Taija-Dawne Ryan and Lauren Rizzo.
In the second game the Fury beat Northland United Soccer Club 5-0. Goal scorers were Taija-Dawne Ryan with two goals while Chrissy Colizza, Kayla Mannarino and Taryn Lamorie all contributing single goals setting the stage for the Fury to advance to the tournament final. Payden Schuurhuis posted her second shut out of the weekend.
The tournament final saw a rematch between the Fury and La Forza with the Fury once again winning 2-1 to capture their first international tournament title. Goal scorers were Taryn Lamorie and Brianna Scarfone. Throughout the weekend the Fury maintained a balanced attack and played stellar defence.
Next tournament play for the Fury is the John Henderson Memorial Tournament Sept 3-5 where they will look to defend their title.
