Since the beginning of April, over 13 vehicles have been entered across the city.

Over half of the vehicle break-ins were in the downtown area.

Stolen from the vehicles were money, wallets, purses, tools and other personal property.

Crime Stoppers and the Sault Ste. Marie police service reminds the public to protect your property by locking car doors, don’t leave your purse or wallet in the car, briefcases, backpacks, and shopping bags should be hidden in the trunk.

Cell phones and other electronic devices should be kept with you.
