Rogers Hometown Hockey pulls into Sault Ste. Marie this weekend. The free, outdoor, hockey festival will kick off Saturday at noon at the Roberta Bondar Pavillion and continue throughout the weekend until Ron McLean’s live broadcast on Sunday evening for the outdoor viewing party of the Washington Capitals vs. Toronto Maple Leafs NHL game. Retired NHLer and former Soo Greyhound, Steve Sullivan, returned to his junior hockey home as a precursor to the Hometown Hockey weekend. LOCAL2 cameras were there as Sullivan surprised the Green for Life Whalers Midget B hockey team before their practice on Thursday evening.
