Five people were arrested in Sault Ste. Marie in what the OPP describe as a ‘massive’ operation targeting child pornography in the province.

Four men and one woman from Sault Ste. Marie were arrested, including one unnamed 51-year-old male who is charged with voyeurism and possession of child pornography.

The investigation is ongoing.

The other four individuals are named in the OPP release below.

A Thessalon man is also among those charged in the provincewide operation.

The arrests come following a local technological crimes unit investigation, parts of which began as early as last November.

More details of the local investigation were announced by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service in a press conference this morning.
