Positions at S&T Industrial

We are recruiting ticketed trades personnel, planners and supervisors who are interested in joining the S. & T Industrial team to provide support to Essar Steel Algoma on down days and various capital projects.

We are interested in receiving applications for the following positions:






• Electrical Maintenance Technicians •


Must have an Electrical Engineering Technician/Technologist diploma and 5 years related industrial experience OR have a valid Industrial Electrician trade ticket certification - 442A.
A valid TSSA, IMT Gas Fitter ticket would be an asset.






• Mechanical Maintenance Technicians •


Must have a Mechanical Engineering Technician/Technologist diploma and a minimum 3 years related industrial experience OR have an Industrial Mechanic Millwright 433A Journeyman ticket and a minimum 3 years trade experience in a related industrial environment. A -position CWB Welding certificate and/or a valid TSSA, IMT Gas Fitter ticket would be an asset.




• Construction Lineperson •


Must have a valid Construction and Maintenance Electrician trade ticket certification - 309A as well as a Certificate of Apprenticeship, or be a Certified Licensed Line Person.




• Fitter Welders •


Must have a valid four-position CWB ticket and S. & T. Industrial ticket or provide proof of having passed four-position CWB and S. & T. Industrial ticket. Must possess or be able to obtain a 6-G position P1 Stick ticket. Must have one of the following; Welder Fitter - 616F, Metal Fabricator (Fitter) - 437A, Welder - 456A, Construction Boilermaker - 428A, OR Steamfitter - 307A. A valid Gas ticket would be an asset.




• Erectors •


Must have a valid four-position CWB ticket as well as a valid Ironworker trade ticket certification, 420A or 420B. You must have a demonstrated ability to do structural steel layout and fabrication including reading and interpreting blue prints, burning, fabrication etc.






All applicants must successfully pass a physical assessment, be able to wear a respirator and a Scott Air Pack and be comfortable working at heights and in all weather conditions.



Successful candidates will specify the month(s) when they are available for work.
