Crime Stoppers and the Blind River Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are looking for the public’s assistance in solving a theft.

Sometime between April 3 and April 7, 2015, six Stihl model chainsaws were stolen from a business on Highway 17 west of Blind River.

The items were taken from the locked back cap of a truck located in a fenced compound.

These industrial sized chainsaws had “Algoma Forestry” engraved on the handles, “AAI” on the chain guards and ranged from 12”–18” in bar length.

The stolen chainsaws are valued at $4,500.
