Arrested For Copperwire Theft

POLICE COPPERWIRE At approximately 5:30am officers were dispatched to the area of London Street and Tancred Street.

On attending found the accused walking on Tancred Street with bolt cutters and a bag of copper wire. The accused had been observed cutting copper wire off of power poles in the area.

The accused Curtis Pheasant, age 30 of 28B Wellington Street East was arrested for possession of property obtained by crime, theft under $5000 and mischief under $5000.

The accused appeared in wash court (weekend and statutory holiday court), and was remanded to bail court on Monday 16th, 2012 at 10:00am.
