CRIME STOPPERS

_________________________

For both seasonal and full-time cottage owners the term Break and Enter is far too common.

Most cottages have been purchased because it provides an element of privacy.

This element of privacy can be a wonderful feature; however, these residences and cottages become vulnerable targets for thieves.

Crime Stoppers and the Thessalon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police are seeking the public’s help to solve six break- in’s that occurred between October 5 – 12, 2014 on Cemetery Road and Lakeshore Drive on the Thessalon First Nation.

Damage was sustained to all cottages upon entry.

Stolen items include a 12 gauge shotgun, fishing rods, a pair of Nikon binoculars, a DVD player and an assortment of liquor.

Success depends on the eyes and ears of the community helping law enforcement.
